Top of the morning to you, pilgrims!
Every now and then, you cover a gig and a visual gem pops up in the form of a support act that you reckon “Wow! That was a good act to shoot!” There are also those moments when you don’t make it in time for the support act, and you realised that you didn’t miss anything at all, and sadly, this was such an instance that happened yesterday before the legendary Jimmy Cliff came on stage. I was running a bit late, but a couple of my fellow photographers had come down earlier to shoot the support act. Or so they thought. Just before they could enter the pit, they were informed that ‘in order for them to shoot the support, they’d need a AAA pass’. WHAT THE PIX?!?!? Let me get this straight: the main act, Doctor Jimmy Cliff, will let us shoot his performance with the standard 3 songs no flash, and the support act says otherwise? Riiigghhhhtttt……
But hey! The gig’s all about the main man himself, Mr Cliff, and as always, he never disappoints with his performance:
