Gary Burton Quartet revisted at London Barbican

Pax Vobiscum, Pilgrims.

It’s a start to a brand new day and working week, and here’s a scripture from the bible that I would like to share with you all:

10. “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, [a] where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. 12. Moreover, no man knows when his hour will come: “ Ecclesiastes 9:10, 12 (New International Version)

I find this scripture to be interesting, because rightly so, nobody can honestly determine when their hour may come. I believe that God has given every one of us a gift, and we should take full advantage, because at the end of the day, we have to give an account.  So, although this is the start for many as a new working week, may we have the strength to do our jobs, despite the distractions or dislikes or whatever.

Speaking of gifts of the hands, went to cover the Gary Burton Quartet revisited ( consisting of Pat Metheny, Steve Swallow and Antonio Sanchez) at the Barbican, yesterday night.  With that kind of line up, you’d expect class, and they delivered.  Every time I hear musicians give their all and all, you can’t help and appreciate talent.  I’m not going to lie: sometimes I feel envious and wish I had some musical gifts, but then I realise that God has given every one of us talent: we just need to find it and develop it. Anyway, I’m thankful for my small gift of photography, so here are a couple of shots from the show:
